Founded in 1972 as Reliable Lock & Key by Stephen Ehrlich in Taunton, MA, the company quickly earned a reputation for dependable security services. Adapting to industry trends, the company was renamed Reliable Lock & Alarm, Inc. in 1991 to reflect its growing focus on electronic security.
Stephen’s son, Michael Ehrlich, gained experience in national security firms before rejoining the company in 1998. That year, Reliable Lock & Alarm merged with two other firms to form Integrated Security, Inc. (ISI), a full-service security integrator offering alarms, access control, intercoms, locks, openings solutions and surveillance under one roof. Michael became President & CEO, with Stephen as Vice-President.
ISI consolidated operations moving headquarters to Mansfield, MA, to accommodate a growing team, as well as opening Hanover, MD, Charlotte, NC and Raleigh, NC locations as a premier east coast security company covering the continental U.S.
